Gentlemen, I’m always looking for a good deal. I’m no Curt Parsons but at times I stumble on a few good things. There are many pre-77 quality recurves and longbows in excellent shape for cheap. 1967 was the year that changed archery…..THE COMPOUND BOW. Many archery companies manufactured Recurves and as they put their compound (wheel bow) production into opperation the traditional bows were produced less and less.
If you have any questions about quality vintage bows hit me up. I will try to point you in the right direction. Bows haven’t changed much in the past 50 years. New recurves do not shoot much faster than the good ol’ vintage bows. And, vintage is a lot less expensive.
Remember, vintage bows should not be shot with the new Fast Flight strings…use Dacron B50 (more stretch).

At one time I considered myself an instinctive shooter, all it was, was me practicing a lot. Look at old pics of Fred Bear, he is aiming all the way. He said there was no way he could be as accurate snap shooting.
